Our Story

Keep Hush is a real-life community of music lovers. Members get weekly events and exclusive discounts for independent brands we love.

Our mission is to foster a community and promote creativity.

2014 – 2016 – Keep Hush was born in the midst of planning secret parties in Oxford. I went on to create an online magazine and club night, bringing cutting-edge artists to Oxford, with the likes of Deep Medi, Spearhead Records and the Swamp81 crew gracing the city.  The blog covering everything I’m passionate about – music, fashion and creativity.

2016 – Deciding that one Fred was not enough, I teamed up with one of our main contributors, Freddy Masters.  We shared a vision to bring back a community spirit to the underground and make sense of the increasingly fragmented scene, whilst beaming out the sounds we love online.

We made the decision to start building our own community, and created a members club for music lovers. After a few wicked evening events around London that were more social, explorative and attracted a switched-on crowd, we knew we were onto something.

Mid 2016 – Whilst cleaning up an office building in Soho in return for free desks, we got hold of a small basement underneath it.  We decided to start asking artists to come and stream sets from there, and that’s when things really started moving.  Starting out with our mates and very under-the-radar artists, it was a matter of months before we had names like Ruf Dug, T.Williams and lots more in our tiny space, welcoming our ever growing membership to come and watch.

2017 – Things were getting too mad at our Soho space, which culminated in P Money himself rocking up at a Keep Hush Live unannounced (even to us).  We kindly got told to leave the office space (a huge blow to their cleaning team), and we started finding other interesting spaces around London.

After speaking to many DJs and MCs struggling to break into the often cliquey underground world, we started Technics & Chill, an open decks evening for our members to allow them to showcase their talent and meet like-minded artists.

Late 2017: As part of a commitment to work with brands we love and respect, we started Deals, our guide to the underground with our members getting exclusive discounts on chosen club nights, record stores, lifestyle brands and festivals.

Get involved and see what all the fuss is about.
